I started an Art Residency with Castlemaine National School this year, I have been working on a 'Be Kind' Mural Project with children from 1st, 2nd & 3rd class. Its a work in progress over the next while but I have put some images below of what we have so far.
It's really enjoyable work and the children are all so eager and enthusiastic to do the work and learn a little bit about painting outdoors.
This is a series based on the beautiful boats at Ross Castle, I have always loved these and have taken so many photos on my phone over the years. This is a collaboration of all of those images. The impressionistic style is to allow the viewer the same feeling of calm and charming appeal of the real time view of these boats in their dock.
Some of my new work will now be on display at the Holiday Inn Killarney on the Muckross Road. They have offered me the lovely space in their hotel lobby to display and sell some of my work.
As it is in Killarney, it was only right to focus on a few interesting shop, hostel & pub fronts! I love the quirkiness of some of the streets and buildings in the beautiful tourist filled town of Killarney. These are all framed acrylic works on paper with a textured paint style.
I hope to get some more of this style into a couple more places in Killarney as soon as possible.
These are all for sale and if you anyone is interested please just pop me a message for pricing and details :)
Killorglin hosts one of the oldest festivals in Ireland called Puck Fair, I set up a little pop-up here last year but decided to just enjoy the festivities this year!
I did a few of my own representations of the festival, here are some images of the works below.
"The Paps of Anu are a pair of breast shaped mountains near Killarney in County Kerry, Ireland. The eastern summit, The Paps East, is 694 metres high and the western top, The Paps West is 690 metres high. The mountains are named after Anu; believed to have been an ancient mother goddess."
My latest project is based around archived photos of Killorglin, Co. Kerry. I did 10 pieces for a new Restaurant & Bar in Killorglin called 'Kingdom 1795' - I will have more images once they have been hung at the Restaurant.
I have decided to take part in another of Killarney's Old Flea Market held at the Laurels in Killarney every month... This one is on Sunday the 12th of May from 12pm - 5pm x

One of my visual obsessions has always been graffiti, having lived in London for a while you get very used to seeing it every day! My love for graffiti goes beyond the visual, I have the utmost respect for people that can do it, whether it be a persons signature tag or something more along the lines of an intricate mural. My own work is mainly painting with a variety of mediums and I have always tried to have my own take on graffiti in a more abstract sense. (See some images below). When I say my own take, I am referring to me using mark making in my own way in a more representative manner and using some spray paint from time to time!
Another of my favourite visuals is train lines and trains themselves, I love the lines, form and the architecture of the train. Rust is another theme I have incorporated into a lot of my themes and work and can be a big component in the tramline and old railway stations. They come with a lot of history and can evoke a nostalgic response on places previously visited.
I will pop a few more visuals of some of my favourite trains with graffiti work on the side -
